Full course description

This course takes place in person at Moravian University's Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences (2nd floor) at 1107 Main St, Bethlehem, PA on Wednesday, March 20th from 6:30-9:30pm.

This course addresses fidelity in Healthcare Simulation. Fidelity in simulation is defined as the level of realism portrayed in an educational or training experience by using moulage (or special effects makeup) and other techniques. This hands-on course will teach attendees about the importance of fidelity in simulation through various means including moulage, wound creation, staging the environment, and other items to increase the fidelity of the simulation for their students. Attendees will practice these elements during the course and walk away with a "recipe book" to use in their own classes.

Objectives:

  • Understand the role of moulage and fidelity in simulation
  • Demonstrate the creation of a high fidelity simulated environment
  • Discuss how to increase fidelity for simulation

**Registration closes: Wed Mar 13th
